Coach
Faizan was born in tehsil Pabbi, District Nowshera. He basically belongs to Mohmand Agency. Faizan passed his secondary education from Shaheen Public School Pabbi in 2007, FSC from Government Degree Collage Pabbi in 2009. He further carried on with his studies and graduated in Civil Engineering from Gandhara University, Hayatabad, Peshawar in 2013-2014.
Faizan started playing cricket in 2006. He played district cricket from Mian Cricket Club Peshawar in 2007. He also played Grade 2 cricket from Peshawar between the span of 2011-2014. However, due to extreme interest and love for cricket, he started cricket coaching in 2018. Faizan did his level one coaching course from Pakistan Cricket Board, he took online coaching classes from Australia and England, and further started cricket coaching in Islamia Star Cricket Academy Gymkhana Ground, Peshawar in 2018. Moreover, he worked as a Head Coach in Junoon Cricket Academy, Pabbi, Nowshera in 2019. He also worked as a bowling coach in Bashir Bilour Cricket Academy, Peshawar in 2020.
Through the mediation of his fellow cricketer and Afghanistan international player and former captain of Afghanistan Gulbuddin Naib, Faizan served as a head coach in Afghanistan’s highest standard cricket academy, Ayubi National Cricket Academy, Kabul. There he taught Afghanistan players about cricket skills including Afghanistan international players like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Zia Sharifi, Salim Safi, Shahid Kamal, Azmatullah Umarzai, Bilal Sami, Nangal Kharoti, Riaz Hassan and many other national & domestic players. After a significant success in coaching, he was selected as the coach of the defending champion Kabul Eagles in Afghanistan of the biggest cricket league, Shpageeza Cricket League 2021.
After serving in the Shpageeza league, he came back to Pakistan. Soon after, Cricket Rising Star, an organization promoting cricket at the grassroots, appointed Faizan Khan as the assistant coach for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He also started special classes in Nowshera & Peshawar academies on the strong insistence of players. He was also the Sports Coordinator of District Nowshera for cricket. Faizan also rendered his coaching services for the female cricket team of Nowshera district for the session 2022. Currently, he is performing his coaching duties in Fakhar Zaman Cricket Academy, Mardan.
